Allbaugh Goes Off, But Bishops Win
The Evanston Bishops outlasted Larry Allbaugh and the Wichita Wolverines, 8-6. Allbaugh was impressive in the loss. The Wichita catcher belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Antonio Hernandez earned the save, his 1st, for the Bishops. The Wolverines fall to 13-19 and continue their lethargic start to the 2064 season.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ernie Byrd? The Evanston designated hitter had a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bishops on top, 7-6. For the game, Byrd had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"I believe in our guys," said Evanston skipper Harold Planter. "I like the energy they're playing with."
