The umbrellas came out during the Sandy Springs-Niagara Falls contest at Pipe Fitters Park.

Sandy Springs Spartans starter Jeff Stephens had all his pitches working at Pipe Fitters Park. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 11-1 Sandy Springs win over the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters. With the loss, Niagara Falls sinks to 9-17.

The Spartans got a big hit from first baseman Noah Carr. Facing Niagara Falls pitcher Matt Wright in the top of the fifth, Carr pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 1st home run of the season put the Spartans ahead, 11-0.

"I thought we competed really well," said Spartans manager Rafael Alonso. "I thought the energy was really good."
