Hernandez Leads Pipe Fitters to Win
With designated hitter Dan Hernandez leading the charge, the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters defeated the Spokane Bulldogs, 10-4, at Pipe Fitters Park. Hernandez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2060 draft, slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Niagara Falls pitcher Cam Greene got the win, upping his record to 3-0. J.P. Doe got the loss. Spokane now is 9-15.

Hernandez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Niagara Falls in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Hernandez took a slider from J.P. Doe and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Pipe Fitters to leap in front, 3-1.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Hernandez. "You've got to get results."
