Though he had a terrific game, Jeff Farrell could not prevent his team, the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, from absorbing a loss. Sandy Springs won the game, 5-3. Farrell was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Getting the save was Kevin Felson, his 7th. Niagara Falls drops to 9-16.
It could have been a different outcome for Sandy Springs, had it not been for Brian Hill, the 23-year old first baseman . Hill contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Sandy Springs up, 4-0.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Hill said.
