Flemming Helps Moonshiners Beat Blazers, 6-4
With first baseman Mike Flemming leading the charge, the Asheville Moonshiners defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 6-4, at The Still. Flemming, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in triples with 2, was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Asheville reliever Jimmy LaPointe picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Timmy Middelkamp was tagged with the loss. Nelson Ramirez collected save number 1.

Flemming had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 fastball from Timmy Middelkamp, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Moonshiners a 6-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Flemming.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Flemming told the Asheville Today.

Asheville goes to 15-16.
