Benefiting from Dennis Roberts's productive game, the Silicon Valley Hackers downed the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 6-5. Roberts was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hackers. Frank Santana, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Getting the save was Ron Williams, his 2nd.

Roberts had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Robby Medlin, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Hackers a 6-5 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Roberts.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Dorian Payne.

The victory makes Silicon Valley 11-12.
