The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Frisco Rams, 10-2. Left Fielder Chris Ratliff deserved a large share of the credit. Ratliff was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Beetlecats. The winning pitcher was Dave Ransom. His record now stands at 3-2. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Beetlecats.

Ratliff made an early impact for Buzzard's Bay when he stroked his 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Beetlecats on top, 4-0.

"Not much went right for us," Frisco manager Joe Renken said, when asked afterward about the game.

Frisco drops to 13-9.
