With 5-2 Win, Lumberjacks Go to 14-8
|
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Adirondack Lumberjacks and Beaumont Drillers came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The Adirondack Lumberjacks got a good effort from starter Danny Granados in defeating the Beaumont Drillers at Drillers Stadium. The final score was 5-2. Granados yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 5, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-1.
It could have been a different outcome for Adirondack, had it not been for Mike Rudolph, the 21-year old first baseman . Rudolph contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Adirondack up, 4-2.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Adirondack manager Daniel Brenton.
The Drillers fall to 7-15 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2063 season.
