Steelheads Solve Boise in Extra Innings
The Roaring River Steelheads beat the Boise Hawks, 11-6 -- though it took them 12 innings. Roaring River designated hitter John Dunaway had a pretty good game. He went 3-6 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Santo Menicossa earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The Hawks, now 6-15, continue their poor start.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Dunaway delivered big-time for Roaring River, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Alejandro Garcia. The game-changing hit put the Steelheads on top, 8-6.

In postgame comments, Dunaway said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
