DeKalb got an elite performance from starting pitcher Danny Leon in taking a 3-1 decision over the Frisco Rams. John Kelley, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. The win brings the Cornhuskers to 10-13, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

DeKalb used the timely hitting of Kenny Berggren to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cornhuskers ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Frisco manager Brent Garbie.
