Lizotte, DeKalb Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The DeKalb Cornhuskers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Joey Lizotte, who kept Madison hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Cornhuskers win at The Hive. Gerald Bosma collected his 1st save. The win takes DeKalb to 15-8.
Though he did not get the decision, Lizotte did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 7.1 innings, until DeKalb eventually rallied past the Beehive.
"Joey showed what he's made of," said DeKalb manager Trey Burrell.
