Cavanaugh gets 3 RBI to Fuel Indians Offense
Getting a good performance from center fielder Ed Cavanaugh, the Wauwatosa Indians defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 14-7. Cavanaugh went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for the Indians. Ray Thompson got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Sandy Springs drops to 10-10.

Wauwatosa needed the clutch hitting of Jeff Eaton to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Indians on top, 7-6. For the game, Eaton had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
