Pacifica and Roaring River took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Pacifica Shamrocks knocked off the Roaring River Steelheads, 11-5, at Casino Grounds. Matt Lenser hit 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. Chris Barratt picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 3-2.

Pacifica used a clutch at-bat from John Miller to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shamrocks ahead, 8-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Lenser, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
