Storm Troopers Win at DeKalb, 6-2
|
San Antonio beat DeKalb on the strength of starter Mike Garon's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. The Cornhuskers fall to 7-11 and continue their lackluster start in 2044.
It could have been a different outcome for San Antonio, had it not been for Eric Hudson, the 24-year old first baseman . Hudson contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put San Antonio up, 4-1.
In postgame comments to the San Antonio Chronicle, Hudson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
