John Spears kept the Windsor Royals hitters from doing much damage at The Studio.

Windsor could only muster 6 hits and draw 3 walks against the right-handed Spears, who controlled them throughout the game. Boston won the contest, 2-0. Spears added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Spears told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
