Shamrocks Come Back Late to Top Red Bulls
|
The Riverside Red Bulls got a sterling performance from center fielder Eric Johnson, but the Shamrocks still prevailed, 6-5. Johnson was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Pacifica reliever Ramiro Marin picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Oscar Alaniz was collared with the loss. Dedrick Savage closed the game out for Pacifica, earning his 3rd save.
Norbert Mori contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped send Pacifica to the win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mori told the Pacifica Gazette.
The Red Bulls, now 8-10, continue their sluggish start.
