Storm Troopers Topple Rats with Late Rally
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers did just enough to sneak past the Rock River Rats, 6-5, at The Rat Hole. San Antonio pitcher Tony Salvador earned player of the game honors. Sean Mitchell picked up the save for San Antonio, his 5th of the year. Rock River, at 3-14, has had a dismal start to the season.
With the clubs tied 5-5 in the top of the eighth and a runner on 3rd, center fielder Tyler Link, who is tied for 8th in the TAA in triples with 1, hit a sacrifice fly.
"I like the roll we're on," said San Antonio manager Yen-nien Zhou.
