In a low-scoring contest between the Black Mountain Mountaineers and the Pacifica Shamrocks, 27-year old right-handed pitcher Felix Garcia proved to be the difference. The Black Mountain right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-1 Mountaineers win. Garcia, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. The Shamrocks fall to 5-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2063 season.

Dustin Horn had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Black Mountain. With the bases loaded and the Mountaineers leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

Horn said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
