The Boston Whitecaps beat the Louisiana Crocodiles, 3-1, at The Swamp. Starting pitcher Ken Aubin was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The winner was Aubin. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Mike Ratto. The loss drops the Crocodiles to 4-8.
John Coburn, who is tied for 5th in the TAA in home runs with 4, had a direct impact on the outcome. Coburn contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Boston up, 2-0.
