The Silicon Valley Hackers beat the Wichita Wolverines, 10-1, at Howling Park. The win was due in part to center fielder Bill Pride, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winner was Silicon Valley reliever Francisco Hernandez, now 3-0. The loser was Jon McCloud. At 11-1, the 2062 Hackers have been nearly flawless so far.

With Silicon Valley leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Pride hit a 2-run single off Wichita hurler Jon McCloud. It was the 11th hit of the season for Pride and put his team ahead, 4-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Wichita manager John Bunce. "We got flat-out beat."
