3-1 Win Takes Rams to 9-3
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Frisco Rams and the Boston Whitecaps, Larry Viola, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2061 draft, was the difference-maker. The Frisco right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Viola yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered no hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-0. Frisco goes to 9-3.
Frisco used a well-timed hit by Ernesto Llamas to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rams ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Viola told the Frisco Citizen.
