The 8-7 Chicago win over Buffalo was due largely to Joe Pinkham. The Eclipse first baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win was credited to Joe Umlah in relief. His record improves to 2-2. D.J. Handrahan took the loss. Jason Beeks closed out the game, earning his 12th save.

Chicago used a timely hit from Jamie Linn to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We found a way to get it done," Pinkham said.

Chicago sits at 18-12.
