The Kelowna Rockets beat the Beaumont Drillers, 10-6, at Drillers Stadium. Kelowna third baseman Edgar Lombard had the hot bat. He went 2 for 2 with 2 doubles. Bill Douglas picked up the win in relief. Mike LaRiviere took the loss for Beaumont. The Drillers drop to 6-9, as their fitful start to the 2064 campaign continues.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Lombard delivered big-time for Kelowna, stroking a dramatic run-scoring double off Mike LaRiviere. The game-changing hit put the Rockets on top, 7-6.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Rockets manager Antonio Moreno.
