The Roaring River Steelheads got a stellar performance from pitcher Virgil Latour, who handcuffed the Moose Jaw offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Ashton Gate. Roaring River reliever Virgil Latour got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Chad Reid was tagged with the loss. Jared Hutson closed the game out for Roaring River, earning his 5th save.

Roaring River used a clutch at-bat from Reilly Snow to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Steelheads ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Latour said.

The Canucks fall to 6-8 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 2064 season.
