Millers Spill Earthquakes, 6-4
|
The Milwaukee Millers dealt the San Francisco Earthquakes a 6-4 loss at Golden Gate Park. John Capanna was the star on offense. He went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Robbie Hunter picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-0. He struck out 4 in 7 innings. Cade Bruett collected his 2nd save.
With Milwaukee leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Capanna hit a cutter from Cesar Rios for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Millers ahead, 5-0.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Capanna told the Milwaukee Daily.
The Millers, now 21-8, have hit the ground running this season.
