Indians Find a Way to Win
The Wauwatosa Indians beat the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 5-4, in 12 innings, in part because of first baseman David Parker. He was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. Wauwatosa reliever Tom Cole snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ben Volpe shouldered the loss. The Indians raised their record to 8-3.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Wauwatosa right fielder Marc Corcoran, facing Jordan Curry, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Indians the 5-4 win.

Corcoran said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
