Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Lynn Baxter the DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Clearwater Seagulls, 9-1. DeKalb pitcher Jason Englert got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Ed Ramos got the loss. The Seagulls drop to 6-6 and continue their mediocre start to the 2064 season.

Early in the game, Baxter had a 2-run home run for DeKalb. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Cornhuskers on top, 2-0.

Said losing manager Ayub Ndadaye: "Give the Cornhuskers credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
