Mustang Get Past Fraser Valley for 4-3 Win
|
The Carson City Mustang topped the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 4-3, in TML AA action at Cowboys Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Carson City pitcher Tyler Frasier. Frasier, now 1-0, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 6, and allowing 3 runs. The loss puts Fraser Valley at 6-5.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Carson City third baseman Jeff Roth, facing Rick Ezell, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Mustang the 4-3 win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Roth.
