In Extras, Drillers Beat Peacocks
|
The Beaumont Drillers dealt the Murraysville Peacocks a 4-3 loss in 11 innings at Drillers Stadium. Preston Ledoux was the star on offense. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Beaumont reliever Mitch Nowak picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alex Estrada absorbed the loss. Beaumont has a record of 7-4.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Ledoux hit a fastball from Alex Estrada for a solo home run. The Drillers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This game tested our mettle," said Ledoux.
