Black Mountain Topples Roaring River, 6-2
The Black Mountain Mountaineers topped the Roaring River Steelheads, 6-2, in RCL AA action at Peak Park. The standout performance belonged to Black Mountain pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native Grant Warren. Warren, now 2-1, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Black Mountain is now 4-7.

Dustin Horn had a big 2-run double for the Mountaineers in the bottom of the third inning. With Black Mountain leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Alexis Roussel and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mountaineers ahead, 4-1.

Horn told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
