Black Mountain turned a fine outing from starter Elard Janssen into a victory over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at The Coffee Grinder. The final score was 7-2. The Beetlecats, 4-6, continue their sluggish start to the 2062 campaign.

Had Fumikazu Masuda not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Masuda hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mountaineers.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Masuda.
