Red Bulls Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The Riverside Red Bulls bested the Louisiana Crocodiles by a score of 4-2, with left fielder Elijah Farley getting the main credit. On the day, Farley was 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles for the Red Bulls. Alastair Martin went 7.2 innings for Riverside to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 2 earned runs. He scattered 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record improves to 1-1. Riverside is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 4th in 12 games.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Louisiana hurler Frank Teran, Tadahiro Nakamura hit a run-scoring single. The Red Bulls went on to win.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Nakamura. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
