Patrick Perillo was brilliant in helping Sandy Springs beat the Evanston Bishops, 5-1. The loss drops Evanston to 7-5.
Perillo was effective against the Bishops, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The left-hander limited Evanston to just 1 run on 3 hits over 8.2 innings.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Sandy Springs manager Rafael Alonso.
