The Madison Beehive beat the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 5-4, at The Hive. The Beehive got a fine performance from first baseman Josh Jarrette, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win takes Madison to 7-2.
Jarrette had a timely hit for Madison in the bottom of the eighth. With Madison trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 5-4, Madison.
"I was a little disappointed," said Niagara Falls manager Bryant Thomas. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
