Mike Garon never let Madison get something going. The San Antonio right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Storm Troopers to a 4-1 win. Garon got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. Garon allowed 1 earned run. Sean Mitchell recorded his 2nd save for San Antonio.

The Storm Troopers got an important contribution from first baseman John Henderson, who in the top of the seventh punched a 1-0 sinker into right for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Storm Troopers ahead, 2-1.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Henderson told the San Antonio Chronicle.

With the win, San Antonio improves its record to 5-6.
