The Frisco Rams had to overcome a big game from Pacifica left fielder Felipe Castillo to leave McCormick Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5. Castillo was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Dan Thompson closed the door for Frisco, picking up his 2nd save of the year. To call the performance of the 2-9 Shamrocks woeful so far is an understatement.

Frisco third baseman Tony Coleman contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Rams ahead, 4-0.

"We've got a great group of guys," Coleman said, "and we're having fun right now."
