Hackers Run Win Streak to 8

Kelowna got a decent performance from pitcher Greg Young, but it wasn't enough to beat the Silicon Valley Hackers. Silicon Valley won the San Jose Municipal Stadium contest, 3-2. Young threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Jose Guevara snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 1.1 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. Yoo-ngan Chen nailed down his 4th save.
Right Fielder Ricardo Nieves made an impact for Silicon Valley, when he swatted a 2-run double off Greg Young in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Nieves was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It's great to be on a roll," said Nieves.
Silicon Valley, with the win, is 8-0.
