Havana Beats Cabo San Lucas, 5-1

The Havana Stogies put one in the win column with an opening day 5-1 triumph over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. The crowd at The Humidor watched Prince Williams put on a fine performance. Williams got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Andy Schutt closed the door for Havana, picking up his 1st save of the year.
The Stogies got a big at-bat from left fielder Allen Larson. For the game, Larson was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Havana a 3-0 lead.
"Prince -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Stogies manager Taylor Hillary. "He was the key to us winning."
