The DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Wauwatosa Indians, 5-3. Center Fielder Jaden White deserved a large share of the credit. White went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for the Cornhuskers. Corey Brunjes, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The save went to Jordan Curry, number 1 for him.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the top of the sixth, White had a key at-bat for DeKalb. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, White hit a 2-run single off Norm Henderson, making the score 5-3, Cornhuskers.
"This was a good win," said White.
The win moves DeKalb to a record of 5-3.
