In a low-scoring contest, Evanston pitcher Clay Tedesco was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. Nate Mosby earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game. Evanston has a record of 5-2.
Had Benjamin King not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, King hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Bishops.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Tedesco said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
