Blazers Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
|
Pitcher Gerald Bosma was rock solid in helping the Bloomington Blazers beat the Milwaukee Millers, 2-1, in 10 innings. Bloomington reliever Gerald Bosma got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jason Phillips was tagged with the loss. Earning his 2nd save for Bloomington was Randy Stucki.
Bloomington used the timely hitting of Jaden White to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blazers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Bloomington field general Jim Moores.
The Millers, now 16-18, have lost 5 in a row.
