Black Bears Jolt Rats with Late Rally
Rock River pitcher Brett Lucido gave the Black Bears all they could handle, but in the end, Fraser Valley left The Rat Hole with a 4-3 win. Lucido allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 5 innings. Fraser Valley reliever Pat Baer picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Leo Molina absorbed the loss. Miguel Covarrubias sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Fraser Valley used the timely hitting of Ron Jester to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Black Bears on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Jester attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

With the win, Fraser Valley improves its record to 3-4.
