The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters beat the Wichita Wolverines, 5-4, in 11 innings. Niagara Falls pitcher and Laguna, California, native Jay Gross led the way. The win was credited to Danny Snow in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Luis Segarra took the loss. The loss lowers the Wichita record to 1-3.

The Pipe Fitters got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Carlos Bucio. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pipe Fitters.
