Hawks Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Riverside
|
Spirited fans at Red Bull Stadium greeted the Riverside Red Bulls for their clash with the Boise Hawks.
The Boise Hawks defeated the Riverside Red Bulls, 6-2, at Red Bull Stadium. Boise third baseman Anthony Michaud was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Sean Bennett got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings.
Michaud made an early impact for Boise when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Hawks on top, 4-0.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Michaud. "But I like how we're playing right now."
The win takes Boise to 3-1.
