Murraysville designated hitter Nick Morris had a good game, even if his team did not. The Peacocks dropped a 5-4 decision to Boise at Red Bull Stadium. Morris went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. The winner was Boise reliever Dustin Brindle, now 1-0. The loser was Steve Matkin. Alejandro Garcia recorded the save, his 1st.

Justin Forsyth came through with a big-time hit for Boise. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Forsyth.
