The Cabo San Lucas Toreros could not turn a fine performance from left fielder Pat Bean into a win. Instead, the San Francisco Earthquakes prevailed, 7-5. Bean went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. San Francisco goes to 17-11.

San Francisco used the hitting of Oscar Vivar to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 6-1. For the game, Vivar had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"When there are games to be won, you win them," said San Francisco manager Bill DesMarais.
