The Amarillo Armadillos beat the Minneapolis Freeze, 9-3, at Armadillos Park. The win was due in part to left fielder Bobby Dickens, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Armadillos now own a record of 88-74.

Kevin Douglas had a big 2-run double for the Armadillos in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Amarillo trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Karl Harrison and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Armadillos ahead, 2-1.
