Johnson goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Wind Offense
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The 3-hit performance of Malcolm Johnson helped the Waimea Wind beat the Calgary Cowboys, 7-2. The winning pitcher was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Daniel Thompson. He tossed 84 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits.

Jon Michaud had a big 2-run double for the Wind in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Waimea leading 3-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a forkball from Carlos Porras and swatted a double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wind ahead, 5-2.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Michaud said (again).

The Wind now have a record of 84-78 with the win over Calgary.
