Victory Over Redbirds Takes Minneapolis to 105-55
|
Getting an impressive start from Felix Martinez, Minneapolis beat Candiac by the score of 4-1. The winning pitcher was Martinez, now 11-4. He tossed 5 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. Evan Sheldon was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 19 save opportunities.
Minneapolis used the bat of Alex Gonsalez to capture the win. The right fielder jacked a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Freeze ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
