Cats Take Tight Tilt
The Fort Worth Cats eked out a 3-2 win versus the State College Swallowtails at Stars Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Larry Viola. He was terrific. The Cats now have a mark of 89-68.

Danny Gomez, who is tied for 6th in the RAAA in triples with 7, had a direct impact on the outcome. Gomez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Fort Worth up, 3-1.

"Larry pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli.
