The Antioch Coal Miners had no problem beating the Peoria Caterpillars, 11-3, at The Coal Mine. Jeff Spain led the way. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Antioch. The defeat makes Peoria 73-61.

The Coal Miners benefited from an error in the bottom of the second inning. Antioch was leading 1-0 when Josh McBroom hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Antioch in front, 3-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Spain said after the game.
