Wind Get Clutch Win Versus Cozumel
The Waimea Wind dealt the Cozumel Beaches a 6-5 loss at The Wind Tunnel. Malcolm Johnson went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Waimea pitcher Vince Erbeck earned the win, hiking his record to 4-1. Pete Findling suffered the loss. With the victory, the Wind record stands at 81-76.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Johnson hit a fastball from Pete Findling for a run-scoring double. The Wind, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Johnson said.
